During my time in high school, I always liked working with my peers, which led me to start tutoring them in math when I was a senior. After entering college, I kept tutoring as a work study that went towards my Math Education degree. I am first and foremost a teacher, however, I still love to tutor on the side. I can never get enough of the look on a student's face when they have just figured out something for themselves, especially if it was a problem that they were struggling with before. Each student will learn a different way and I choose to tailor my lessons to fit each student individually. When I teach, I would rather talk through and guide them instead of just coming out and giving them the answer. This way, the student will retain more and also learn the material much better. I also tutor in Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, and Calculus. I love teaching students Algebra and giving them a bit of a challenge to allow them to seek out the correct answer on their own. In my spare time, I attend my son's soccer games and my daughter's dance recitals. I love the outdoors, and like to boat, swim, and ski.
